I want to take this opportunity to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I find the festive season a good time to take a step back and reflect. It has been an incredibly busy year for me, as I am sure it has been for many of you reading this.
I hope you are looking forward to a relaxing period with family and friends.
I am, though, always mindful that the Christmas period isn’t easy for everybody. For some, it may be their first time alone or facing other of life’s challenges. So do check in with your neighbours and friends if you can, and let’s try and keep the community spirit alive and well this year.
I would also like to express my gratitude to those who will be working at Christmas: our armed forces, the police, NHS workers, first responders and those in retail. Their efforts do not go unrecognised.
Please get in touch with one of the many organisations that are available to help if you need support, and please also reach out to my office if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for trusting me as one of your elected representatives; I will continue to represent you to the very best of my ability.
